OFCCP Internet Applicant Definition Causes Concern

Ilearned about thislast nightthanks toLanded.fm, and today find that criticism is beginning to really pour in.

For me, I know that if my company needs to be compliant, we will be. Period. One thing I love about my employer is that we will jump through the hoops in order to reduce the transactional costs to our employers wherever possible.

I think the outcome will be two-fold:

  • Companies wil be forced to post the EXACT job they’re hiring for.
  • Applicants must be exact about the job they’re willing to be hired for.

Clarity can only be good in the long-run (especially since the number-one piece of feedback I hear from candidates with respect to recruiters is “I never know if a job is open, or even real… and then I never get feedback at all….”)

…and, if I may be so bold, it may actually create a Long Tail-isheffect on job-markets.
