Ma Bell? Can you hear me know?

I'm getting pretty jazzed about the new broadband phone services coming mainstream nowdays. Since my broadband connection is more important than my refrigerator, I am seriously considering my jump from my telco's twisted-pair copper dustiness into packet-switched telephony heaven.

The hook? I was talking to my tech-savvy sister back in Indy and I mentioned Broadband Phone Service. She said, "Yeah, pretty cool idea, huh."

"Sure, but what about the quality of sound?" I asked.

"Well, how well can you hear me?" she answered. "I am on a broadband phone connection here!"

...nuff said.
